Safety Planning through a Person-Focused Lens
This training for mental health clinicians reviews the Safety Planning Intervention (SPI) through a person‑focused, strengths‑based lens. We will discuss how to conduct a narrative interview to identify individualized warning signs and collaboratively build tailored safety plans that leverage clients’ coping strengths.
The session covers the six components of SPI, strategies to enhance feasibility and use, and special considerations for diverse clinical populations, including youth. This free, virtual training is open to any mental health professional in the CBH/DBHIDS network.
