Published on September 9, 2021

The Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS) recently issued Bulletin OMHSAS-21-09, “Guidelines for the Delivery of Behavioral Health Services Through Telehealth,” with an effective date of Thursday, September 30, 2021. The bulletin continues the broad utilization of telehealth services that have been available during the COVID-19 pandemic.

CBH and DBHIDS remain committed to ensuring that members have access to behavioral health treatment and are in full support of the implementation of this Bulletin within the Philadelphia provider network. In the coming months, we will also be working with the provider network to fully establish operational and quality standards related to this new technology. If you have any questions, please contact your assigned CBH Provider Relations Representative.
