CBH CEO to Receive Distinguished EMBA Alumni Award from Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business

Dr. Faith Dyson-Washington Recognized for Service to the Community

Faith Dyson-WashingtonPHILADELPHIA, PA – April 27, 2022 – Community Behavioral Health (CBH), a division of Philadelphia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services (DBHIDS), announced that CEO Faith Dyson-Washington, PhD, was named a recipient of the 2022 EMBA Alumni Awards by Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business. Dr. Dyson-Washington earned an award in the “Service to the Community” category, which honors an alumnus of the Lebow College of Business Executive MBA program who has made an exceptional difference in the community through volunteer service or paid work.

Dr. Dyson-Washington is a respected leader in behavioral health renowned for her work to help end health disparities and improve health outcomes for communities that have been marginalized. Since becoming the first African American woman to hold the position of CEO at CBH in 2020, she has employed her extensive clinical experience and innovative vision to help broaden access to high-quality, person-centered care for Philadelphia’s Medicaid recipients.

The EMBA Alumni Awards is an annual program created by the EMBA Alumni Board to recognize exceptional achievements and contributions to society made by alumni of the Lebow College of Business’s Executive MBA program. Alumni can be nominated for four award categories, including Entrepreneurship, Service to the Community, Service to the Profession, and Service to the Alma Mater.

Dr. Dyson-Washington will be presented with the award at the organization’s 13th annual Executive Summit on Friday, May 20 during Drexel’s Alumni Weekend.
