CBH Reflection And Action
Philadelphia — The impact of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has been felt by all around the world, but none have felt it more disproportionately than minority communities who must navigate disparities in access to basic needs including health care, education, housing, and financial resources.
COVID-19 has highlighted the imbalance of our country’s most basic systems. Now the tragic deaths of George Floyd and far too many others have brought us to the crossroads of social injustice and civic unrest.
Community Behavioral Health (CBH) stands in solidarity with the City of Philadelphia and DBHIDS Commissioner, David T. Jones, in support of social justice and equity.
CBH is committed to using this moment to reflect and to take measurable actions to ensure:
- That our dedicated team of CBH staff represent the diversity of our City and the members we serve and that staff can thrive in an environment that is safe, welcoming, and inclusive;
- That our Members have choice and access to culturally and linguistically competent services;
- And that our internal policies and external partnerships are developed in a fair, transparent, and inclusive manner.
