Proposed Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services Regulations Open for Public Comment

CBH would like to inform Providers that OMHSAS’ proposed Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services (PRS) regulations have been posted on the Independent Regulatory Review Commission’s (IRRC) website for public comment. OMHSAS’ proposed regulations amend Chapter 5230 to allow access to PRS for individuals who are between 14 – 18 years of age and meet the admission requirements. The proposed regulations also amend the diagnoses that allow an individual to access PRS without the use of the exception process.

The proposal will be open for comments from the public until August 8, 2022. The public may submit comments, suggestions, or objections regarding the proposed rulemaking to the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services via email or using the following address:
