Mitali Patnaik, MD, FAPA, FASAM

Deputy Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Mitali Patnaik serves as the Deputy Chief Medical Officer at CBH, where she works closely with the Chief Medical Officer to oversee the organization’s clinical operations, including quality of care, safety, clinical effectiveness, and medical management.

Dr. Patnaik is a board-certified psychiatrist with extensive experience spanning clinical practice, physician leadership, and health care administration. Before joining CBH, she served as Medical Director of the Emergency Psychiatry Service line at the University of Pennsylvania Health System (UPHS). Earlier in her career, Dr. Patnaik served as Medical Director of the Friends Hospital Crisis Response Center, after beginning her tenure there as an attending Psychiatrist. She has also held several academic appointments, including Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Drexel University College of Medicine and at the Perelman School of Medicine.

Dr. Patnaik earned her medical degree from Kasturba Medical College in Mangalore, India, and completed her psychiatry residency at Drexel University College of Medicine. She is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
