The purpose of Community Behavioral Health’s Screening Program is to establish a formal process of early identification and referral to treatment to promote optimal health for its members. Community Behavioral Health (CBH) has prioritized depression and alcohol and other drug (AOD) misuse as behavioral health conditions to screen for in its Adult Screening Program.

This screening program is informed by behavioral health screening guidelines and recommendations established by the United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) and the Treatment Improvement Protocol #42 issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
